The Board, having heard from the Chief Constable's representative and the applicant on their own behalf and taken account of letters of objection which had been lodged, agreed to grant a variation to add DJ/disco during core hours but no later than 12 midnight to Local Condition 1, and amend consent for musical entertainment to the following - TV and automatic music system during core hours. Karaoke and instrumental groups (maximum of three artistes) during core hours but no later than 12 midnight.

 

To amend terminal hour Fridays and Saturdays from 12 midnight to 1am as per Board policy, allow bar meals during and outwith core hours, allow receptions and other group meetings during and outwith core hours, amend recorded music to allow this to be played both during and outwith core hours, amend televised sport to be shown both during and outwith core hours and amend access to children and young persons. To amend the layout plan to show areas that children and young persons have access to and where the baby changing unit is situated. It was further agreed to call back for review in 12 months' time.

The Board, having heard from the applicant on their own behalf, agreed to grant a variation to amend Local Condition 1 to read the following - TV and automatic music system during and outwith core hours and karaoke, DJ/disco and live performances during core licensed hours. To vary terminal hour from 12 midnight to 1am Mondays to Sundays, to vary the Sunday opening time from 12.30pm to 11am in line with Board policy, allow conference facilities, restaurant facilities, receptions, club or other group meetings, recorded music, dance facilities, films, indoor/outdoor sports, televised outwith core hours as these activities may be required through the hiring of the venue, remove bar meals, allow the outside drinking facility in the courtyard area and the grassed area to the west of the building within the confines of the castle grounds during core hours for private functions and events only, and vary access to children and young persons.
