I DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

 

Councillor Dawson and Bailie Borthwick declared a non-financial interest by virtue of a family member being a serving Police Officer.

 

II SCOTTISH FIRE AND RESCUE QUARTERLY PERFORMANCE REPORT - 1ST OCTOBER TO 31ST DECEMBER, 2016

 

There was submitted Report No 62-2016 by Area Manager Grieve providing information for the Committee regarding the performance of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service against the priorities, outcomes and performance indicators detailed within the Local Fire and Rescue Plan for Dundee 2014-2017 to facilitate local scrutiny.

 

The Committee agreed to note, scrutinise and question the content of the report.

 

III SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT BETWEEN DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL AND POLICE SCOTLAND - MONITORING REPORT 2014/2015

 

There was submitted Report No 38-2016 by the Executive Director of Neighbourhood Services providing an annual monitoring report on the Service Level Agreement between Dundee City Council and Police Scotland for the period 2015/2016 and seeking approval for continued funding for the final year of the agreement for 2016/2017.

 

The Committee agreed to:-

 

(i) note the content of the monitoring report for the period 2015/2016;

 

(ii) agree continued funding of 219,000 for the period 2016/2017, the final year of the three year Service Level Agreement; and

 

(iii) instruct the Executive Director, Neighbourhood Services to make the necessary arrangements for the Dundee Community Safety Partnership to undertake a Strategic Assessment of Dundee Citys Community Safety priorities, to inform any future contractual arrangements between Dundee City Council and Police Scotland.

 

IV DUNDEE CITY LOCAL POLICING AREA - PERFORMANCE RESULTS - 1ST APRIL, 2015 TO 31ST DECEMBER, 2015

 

There was submitted Report No 119-2016 by Chief Superintendent Smith for the Committee's information.

 

The Committee agreed to note and scrutinise the content of the operational report.

 

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 14 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.

 

V OPERATIONAL ISSUES POLICE SCOTLAND
