The minute of meeting of this Committee of 14th December, 2016 was held as read.

I DECLARATION OF INTEREST

 

No declarations of interest were made.

 

II EXTERNAL INSPECTION REPORT FOR WHICH GRADES ARE GOOD OR BETTER

 

There was submitted Report No 54-2017 by the Executive Director of Children and Families Service reporting on the findings of the recent external inspection at Gillburn Road and Fairbairn Street young people's homes.

 

The Committee:-

 

(i) noted the summary of the inspection reports on Gillburn Road and Fairbairn Street young people's homes, which received grades of good or better in all areas covered by the inspection; and

 

(ii) remitted to the Executive Director of Children and Families Service to ensure that the areas for improvement, requirements and recommendations included in the reports were acted upon, both in relation to the particular services inspected and as guidance on good practice for other services.

 

III INTERNAL AUDIT REPORTS

 

There was submitted Report No 41-2017 by the Senior Manager - Internal Auditor providing the Committee with a summary of the Internal Audit Reports formalised since the last meeting of this Committee.

 

The Committee agreed to note the information contained within the report.

 

IV DUNDEE INTEGRATED JOINT BOARD - 2015/2016 ANNUAL INTERNAL AUDIT REPORT AND 2016/2017ANNUAL INTERNAL AUDIT PLAN

 

After considering Report No 42-2017 by the Senior Manager - Internal Audit relative to the above, the Committee noted the contents of the Dundee Integrated Joint Board 2015/2016 Annual Internal Audit Report and the 2016/2017 Annual Internal Audit Plan appended thereto.

 

V AUDIT SCOTLAND - AUDIT OF HOUSING BENEFIT RISK ASSESSMENT REPORT

 

On a reference to Article VII of the minute of meeting of the Policy and Resources Committee of 13th February, 2017, there was submitted Report No 40-2017 by the Executive Director of Corporate Services advising members about the Audit Scotland Housing Benefit Risk Assessment Report and Action Plan produced by Dundee City Council's Customer Service and Benefit Delivery Team as a response.

 

The Committee noted accordingly.
