II EMPTY HOMES OFFICER PROJECT

There was submitted Report No 125-2017 by the Executive Director of Neighbourhood Services advising the Committee of progress made in the first year of the Empty Homes Officer project. This was a shared service project between Dundee City Council and Angus Council.

The Committee noted the positive progress being made by this project with regards to Empty Homes work and the encouraging outcomes achieved to date.

III TAYSIDE JOINT HEALTH PROTECTION PLAN

There was submitted Report No 126-2017 by the Executive Director of Neighbourhood Services advising that the Public Health etc (Scotland) Act 2008, required NHS Tayside to produce, every two years, a Joint Public Health Protection Plan with Angus, Dundee City and Perth and Kinross Councils. This plan provided an overview of health protection priorities, provision and preparedness within Tayside and highlighted the collaborative nature of health protection work.

The report sought Committee approval of the Tayside Joint Public Health Protection Plan 2017-2019 (JPHPP), included as an Appendix to the report.

The Committee approved the Tayside Joint Public Health Protection Plan, and gave a commitment on behalf of Dundee City Council to work with NHS Tayside, Perth and Kinross and Angus Councils to address the priorities identified in the plan.
