The Board, having heard from the Licensing Standards Officer, taken into account a letter of objection and, from an agent on behalf of the applicant, agreed to grant a variation to increase the items contained in permitted musical entertainment to include karaoke, automatic music playback system, and live performance by bands, which will be acoustic by performers and bands and will cease at midnight. Commence licensed hours on a Sunday from 11am, increase on-sale hours to 1am on a Friday and Saturday and that Children and Young Persons will have access for private functions or for the consumption of a meal, a snack, or soft drink.

 

II APPLICATION FOR TRANSFER - REDD FUNCTION SUITE

 

The Board noted that the above application had been withdrawn.

 

III PERSONAL LICENCE REVIEW

 

(i) MARK USHER

 

The Board, having heard from the Chief Constables representative, the licence holder on their own behalf and the Boards Legal Adviser, agreed to endorse the above licence.

 

(ii) ASHLEY FAIRFIELD

 

The Board agreed to defer the above hearing.

 

IV PREMISES LICENCE REVIEW

 

(i) THE TOWN HOUSE, KING STREET, DUNDEE

 

The Board agreed to defer the above Premises Licence Review to the October meeting of this Board.

 

V PREMISES LICENCE - REQUEST FOR REVIEW

 

The Board agreed to hold a Premises Licence Review in respect of WM Morrisons Supermarkets, 1 Afton Way, Dundee.

 

VI PERSONAL LICENCES - REQUESTS FOR REVIEWS

 

The Board agreed to hold Personal Licence Reviews in respect of Lee Wallace, Paul Ogilvie and Fraser Reilly.

 

VII GAMBLING ACT 2005 - STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLES REVIEW 2017-2019

 

There was submitted Agenda Note AN68-2017 informing the Board that the Licensing Board Statement of Principles (or Statement of Policy) was last updated in January, 2013 and was required to carry out a review of policy.

 

The Board remitted the Clerk to carry out a consultation exercise with interested parties and to report back in due course.
