The minute of meeting of this Committee of 31st October, 2022 was held as read.

I DECLARATION OF INTEREST

 

There were no declarations of interest.

 

II YOUNG CARERS UPDATE

 

On a reference to Article III of the minute of this Committee of 6th December, 2021, there was submitted Report No 323-2022 by the Executive Director of Children and Families Service providing members with an update of progress made in the last year on the Councils continued support to Young Carers. This included an update in relation to progress in implementing A Caring Dundee 2 2021/2024, which was approved by the Dundee Integration Joint Board on 27th October, 2021 and noted by this Committee on 6th December, 2021.

 

The Committee:-

 

(i) noted the continued progress made in supporting Young Carers over the last 12 months; and

 

(ii) instructed the Executive Director of Children and Families Service to provide a further update report on the implementation of A Caring Dundee 2 in 12 months.

 

III CHILDREN AND FAMILIES SERVICE PLAN 2021/2024

 

On a reference to Article V of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 27th June, 2022, there was submitted Report No 324-2022 by the Executive Director of Children and Families Service providing the Committee with the second six month update on the implementation of the Children and Families Service Plan 2021/2024, following the first update noted by the Committee. As most performance data was reported annually, the report highlighted key developments in relation to the eight key priorities of the service and planned improvement activity noted in the last report, including details of the impact of work where possible.

 

The Committee:-

 

(i) noted the progress made in the implementation of the Service Plan since the last update report noted by the Committee on 27th June, 2022; and

 

(ii) instructed the Executive Director to provide a further update on progress in six months, including all available annual data.
