III APPOINTMENTS - CONVENTION OF SCOTTISH LOCAL AUTHORITIES - MEMBERS' NETWORK

It was reported that several letters had been received recently from the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities spokespersons seeking nominations for the undernoted Networks:-
(a) Animal Health and Welfare
It was agreed that Councillor Petrie be appointed.
(b) Urban Affairs
It was agreed that the Leader or Depute Leader of the Majority Group be authorised to attend.
(c) Transport
It was agreed that the Convener or Depute Convener of the Planning and Transportation Committee be authorised to attend.
(d) Planning
It was agreed that the Convener or Depute Convener of the Planning and Transportation Committee be authorised to attend.
The Lord Provost agreed that the undernoted items be considered as a matter of urgency in terms of Standing Order No. 17(b) in view of the timescales involved.
IV CONVENER - NEIGHBOURHOOD RESOURCES AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Following the resignation of Councillor Kemp, Councillor Grant, seconded by Councillor Shimi, moved that Councillor Farquhar be appointed.
As an amendment, Councillor Sawers, seconded by Councillor Corrigan, moved that Councillor Richard Beattie be appointed.
On a division, there voted for Councillor Farquhar - Lord Provost Wright, Councillors de Gernier, Letford, Ward, Shimi, Presswood, Regan, Farquhar, Luke, Sturrock, Glen, Grant, Rolfe, Powrie, Wallace, Scott and Borthwick (17); and for Councillor Richard Beattie - Councillors Richard Beattie, Dawson, Sawers, FitzPatrick, Petrie, Guild, Corrigan, Dave Beattie, Fordyce and Bowes (10) - whereupon Councillor Farquhar was appointed.

Following the resignation of Councillor Kemp, Councillor Grant, seconded by Councillor Shimi, moved that Councillor de Gernier be appointed.
As an amendment, Councillor Corrigan, seconded by Councillor Petrie, moved that Councillor Dawson be appointed.
On a division, there voted for Councillor de Gernier (17); and for Councillor Dawson (10) - as recorded in the division immediately above - whereupon Councillor de Gernier was appointed.
