The minute of meeting of the Licensing Board of 19th October, 2000 was held as read.

I LICENSING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1976

(a) Applications for Renewal of Licences (Including Sunday Opening and Children's Certificates)

There were submitted the undernoted applications:-

In the case of the above applications, reference was made to the minute of meeting of the Licensing Board of 19th October, 2000 wherein pleas of inadvertence were accepted in respect of the late lodging of these applications.

There being no objections, the Board granted the applications.

(b) Application for Regular Extension of Permitted Hours

There was submitted the undernoted application:-

In the case of the above application, the Board having heard the Chief Constable and the applicant on her own behalf, agreed that the application be granted for the period up until the January Board.

(c) Application to Apply Sections 57-60

There was submitted the undernoted application:-

There being no objections, the Board granted the application.

(d) Application for the Grant (Including the Provisional Grant) of New Licences

There was submitted the undernoted application:-

The Board gave consideration to objections which had been received and after hearing an agent on behalf of the applicant, the Chairman moved refusal of the application.

As an amendment, Councillor Ward moved that the application be granted.

On a division, there voted for the motion - the Chairman and Councillors Grant, Letford, Bowes, Beattie and Dawson (6); and for the amendment - Councillor Ward - Councillor Rolfe being absent when the vote was taken - whereupon the motion was declared carried.
