I DECLARATION OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest.
II REVIEW OF THE SERVICE ESTATE - CONDITION AND SUITABILITY
There was submitted Report No 141-2026 by the Interim Executive Director of Children and Families Service providing an update on the condition and suitability of the learning estate and an update on completed and planned improvement work to align with the Authority Return for the Scottish Government Core Facts in May, 2026.
The Committee agreed to note the updated position on the condition and suitability of the learning estate and the programme of improvement works.
III CHILDRENS SERVICES PLANNING PARTNERSHIP PLAN 2026-2029
There was submitted Report No 142-2026 by the Interim Director of Children and Families Service presenting the proposed Childrens Services Planning Partnership (CSPP) Plan 2026-2029. The report outlined the statutory requirements for Childrens Services Planning Partnerships, summarising evaluation of previous arrangements and explained the new local approach.
The Committee agreed:-
(i) to note the statutory requirements relating to the CSPP;
(ii) to approve the CSPP Plan 2026-2029 (attached as Appendix 1 to the report);
(iii) to note the evaluation of previous CSPP arrangements as outlined in Appendix 2 of the report; and
(iv) to request the Executive Director to provide an update on implementation in 12 months.
At this juncture external members of Committee departed.
IV CARERS STRATEGY 2026/2032
There was submitted Report No 143-2026 by the Interim Director of Children and Families Service outlining the revised Carers Strategy 2026-2032 and revised Carers Short Breaks Statement developed by the Dundee Carers Partnership for approval.
The Committee agreed:-
(i) to approve the Carers Strategy 2026-2032 and Short Breaks Statement (attached as Appendix 1 to the report), which were approved by the Integration Joint Board (IJB) for Adult Carers on 18th February, 2026; and
(ii) to request the Executive Director to provide annual updates on the delivery of the strategy specifically related to Young Carers.
