City Development Committee - 18/12/2000

At a MEETING of the ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE held at Dundee on 18th December 2000.

The minute of meeting of this Committee of 11th December 2000was held as read.

Unless marked thus * all items stand delegated.

The Committee agreed that this item be considered as a matter of urgency in terms of Standing Order No. 51(3)(b) in view of the time scales involved.

The Committee also resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act, 1973 that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

I DOVETAIL ENTERPRISES - FINANCIAL SUPPORT

The Director of Finance submitted Report No. 773-2000 advising the Committee of the current financial position of Dovetail Enterprises and making recommendations on funding proposals for 2000/2001 and future financial years.

The Committee approved a one-off interest free loan to Dovetail Enterprises in 2000/2001 to be secured over the factory premises at Dunsinane Avenue and otherwise as detailed in the report.
