Cases Sub-committee - 24/04/2000

At a MEETING of the REGISTRATION AND CASES SUB-COMMITTEE held at Dundee on 24th April, 2000.

The Sub-Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act, 1973, that the public be excluded from the meeting in order that the undernoted item of business be considered in private on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1, 5 and 6 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A of the Act.

EXTERNAL PURCHASE OF HOME CARE SERVICES

 

There was submitted Report No. 309-2000 by the Director of Social Work advising the Committee of payments that had been made to purchase home care that exceeded the agreed limit of 336 for services approved through spot purchase, and seeking permission to make payments in respect of two clients whose care would cost more than the current limit of 336 per week.

 

Following discussion, the Sub-Committee agreed to:-

 

(i) authorise continued payment in respect of the 11 continuing cases identified in the report;

 

(ii) note and approve the decision of the Director of Social Work to make the 11 payments identified in the report that have since been discontinued;

 

(iii) approve the payment in respect of the two new cases.
