Perth Road Consultation01/11/16
THE FUTURE of the shops, cafes and businesses in Perth Road will come under the spotlight next week as part of a neighbourhood consultation.
Dundee City Council planning officers will be on hand to discuss and listen to the thoughts and views of residents, business owners and other interested parties.
Will Dawson convener of Dundee City Council’s city development committee said: “It is absolutely vital that when planning the future of district shopping centres like that in the Perth Road that we engage with and listen to the views of the people who make their living from it and use the services there.
“We know how important it is to maintain, enhance and strengthening the vitality, viability and vibrancy of the Perth Road so that every member of the community can benefit from easy access to the wide range of shopping and related facilities it offers.
“That is why I want to encourage as many people as possible to come along and tell us what they think, so that future planning decisions take into account as wide a variety of views and opinions as possible.
“We want people to have their say on the issues facing Perth Road, the strengths of this part of the city and what the priorities should be for making positive changes.”
People will have their chance to take part in the public consultation event on Tuesday (November 8) from 12 noon to 6pm at The Tartan Café, 53 Perth Road.
