Winter Wander Round The Law14/12/16
Local people will be going on a captivating winter wonder around the law on Wednesday (December 14).
This guided tour will give them the chance to examine some of the great historical features around the law, including the Law Tunnel and the World War Two Pillbox.
The fascinating local wildlife that inhabits the law will be explored as part of the guided tour.
Neighbourhood Service Convener John Alexander said: “The Law is Dundee’s most iconic land mark, a part of the heritage of our people and city, needs to be better understood, setting it in context as an important park of Dundee’s heritage.”
“It’s great to see events like this taking place; it reflects public support for the Take Pride in Your City campaign.
“In addition I am thrilled that we are getting such significant support for our work from the Heritage Lottery Fund.”
The Dundee Law Heritage is part funded through the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project is underway with path and step renovation and wildlife habitat management is being undertaken.
The event is part of the Take Pride in Your City campaign that aims to motivate city residents to help in the effort to prevent litter, dog fouling, chewing gum, fly-tipping and graffiti from blighting neighbourhoods.
The initiative is designed to persuade residents to support positive behaviour and attitudes to enhance the city’s green reputation.
