More than £170,000 of improvements to open spaces across Dundee could get underway in the next few weeks.
Councillors will be asked to approve a package which includes redesign and landscape improvements and replacement of security fencing at Fintry Park, Alva Square, Hillside Quarry, and Kinghorn Road Allotments.
The works include:
- better sightlines, installation of bollards and naturalised areas at Fintry Park;
- enhancement to planted section of the residential area at Alva Square; and
- Replacement of security fencing at Kinghorne Road Allotment.
Neighbourhood Services Convener Kevin Cordell said: “Throughout the past year we have committed to more than a £1m of environmental improvement works across Dundee.
“These are important to making the city look and feel more attractive, while also making Dundee safer using measures like replacing fencing and access controls facilities.
“I’m sure these works will enrich our local environment and ensure that everyone can enjoy it.”
The Neighbourhood Services Committee meets on Monday January 8 2018.
