Winter weather - schools CLOSED on Friday

Winter weather - schools CLOSED on Friday Image

In light of the exceptional weather conditions expected by forecasters, we have taken a decision to CLOSE all Dundee primaries, secondaries and nurseries again tomorrow (Friday).

Our concern, as always, is ensuring the safety of our young people and staff.

We apologise for the inconvenience this decision may cause. We have taken it as soon as possible to allow parents and carers to make appropriate arrangements.

School buildings will again be closed, and school-based staff are asked to work from home in line with our severe weather guidance.

We’d also encourage pupils to carry out what studies they can at home, using course work and online resources.

There have been some fantastic examples of that today, and we’re grateful to the pupils and teachers who have been involved so far.

Community centres will also be closed to the public tomorrow due to the severe weather. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Please continue to follow our website and social media channels for the latest updates.
