Coronavirus Business Survey29/07/20
THE IMPACT of Covid-19 and the measures taken to suppress its spread on business in Dundee are set to come under the spotlight.
A new Dundee City Council survey looking at the effects of the pandemic on local enterprises has gone live.
Mark Flynn deputy convener of Dundee City Council’s city development committee said: “So that we can offer the best possible support and shape the city’s recovery plan to deliver in the most effective way we need business to tell us how the pandemic has affected them.
“As well as gathering background data on the who, where and what of the city’s businesses, we are also asking them about more practical issues around the actions they have already taken to mitigate the effects of the virus and what their specific concerns are for the future.
“Furloughing, training schemes, apprenticeships, vacancies and where support has already come from are all covered so that we can get as comprehensive a picture as possible of the impact on the city’s businesses.”
Supported by Business Gateway, Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small Businesses the survey can be found at www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/dundeebusinesssurvey/
Anyone who wants to make their views known has until mid-August to complete the survey.
