2022 Remembrance

Events are taking place in Dundee on Sunday November 13 to mark Remembrance Day.

Lord Provost Bill Campbell will join the people of Dundee, dignitaries, representatives of the armed forces, veterans and cadets to remember those who fell.

The day’s events include:

10:40am onwards

Parade from High School down Reform Street

Followed by

11am Two-minute silence held at the Garden of Remembrance, St Mary's Church Nethergate.

Wreath laying will take place at the Garden of Remembrance, then a service will follow at St Mary’s.

At 11am there is also a service at the Black Watch Memorial, Powrie Brae. Depute Lord Provost Kevin Cordell will attend the event.

At around 12.15pm, the Lord Provost and party make their way to The Law War Memorial for a wreath laying service.

2:30pm  Submarine Memorial Event

           Submarine Memorial - City Quay

3:00pm  Annual Remembrance Day Service

           Frigate Unicorn 

Lord Provost Bill Campbell said: “The events in the city are always moving, emotional and it is an honour to take part in them on behalf of the city.

“The people of Dundee will take time to reflect on the huge sacrifices of those before us, and those currently serving, as we come together to pay our respects.”

A two-minute silence will also be observed on Friday November 11 at 11am in City Square, when Armistice Day will be marked with a service to which the public are invited to attend.
