Neighbourhood Capital Fund

Dundee City Council is calling on residents to help shape the future of their communities by voting in the Neighbourhood Capital Fund poll.
With over £600,000 of capital funding allocated across six wards, the council is empowering citizens to decide how this budget should be spent to improve local spaces and facilities.
The funding has been distributed based on the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation, with the following wards are eligible to vote: Lochee, Strathmartine, Coldside, Maryfield, North East and East End.
Voting is open until September 19th 2025 at Dundee’s Voice. Residents aged 12 and over can vote using their Young Scot number, MyGovScot account, Facebook or Gmail, or by creating a profile on the Dundee’s Voice website.
The link to the vote with details of all ward projects is online at: https://dundeesvoice.communitychoices.scot/budgets/17
Initiatives up the for vote include:
Park upgrades
School playground developments
Accessible pedestrian routes
Improvements to local buildings
Youth group initiatives
Local Communities Teams are available to support anyone needing help with the voting process, and residents are advised to contact their local community centre for assistance.
Children, Families and Communities convener Cllr Stewart Hunter said: “Encouraging more people to get involved in decisions on how money for building, repairing and creating infrastructure in their communities is spent is an important part of creating an empowered and active city.
“This is a great way of getting people involved in building locally for the future.
“I hope as many residents as possible take the time to vote for their preferred project.”
