Dundee Plaudit as 'Best Place to Live' in Scotland for Under 35s

A leading Dundee councillor is welcoming news that the city has been named as the best place in Scotland to live for under 35-year-olds.
The Times has highlighted locations across Britain that the paper said were "vibrant, full of potential and relatively affordable".
According to the publication, "The City of Discovery has a buzz that belies its size thanks to a 25,000-strong student population breathing life into its pubs, music venues and weeknight nightlife, alongside the opening of the V&A Dundee and regeneration of the waterfront."
Councillor Steven Rome, convener of City Growth and Infrastructure said: “This a great national focus on Dundee and reflects the investment that has been ongoing in the city to make it an attractive and liveable place.
“Private sector investment into facilities like Overgate and the LiveHouse venue are helping to transform the image of the city for younger people.
“We are aware that many challenges exist, but there is a real determination from the council and its partners to ensure that Dundee becomes a better place for everyone.
“Plaudits like this one show that we are getting the city noticed for these efforts.”
