School Closures Broughty Ferry and Arbroath Constituency by-election

Three schools and their associated nursery classes are due to be closed to pupils for the upcoming UK Parliamentary Broughty Ferry and Arbroath constituency by-election on Thursday 18 June 2026.
Subject to approval from the Scottish Government, the following schools and associated nursery classes will be closed:
Claypotts Castle Primary School
Forthill Primary School
Craigiebarns Primary School
Schools have contacted parents and carers directly to inform them and apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and hope that by giving as much notice of the date as possible this will enable them to make alternative arrangements for their children.
The schools will be required as polling stations and due to the building layout and the number of members of the public visiting the school, the health and safety of our children is the primary factor for making this decision.
