National Records of Scotland Drug Related Deaths in Scotland 2024 publication reported that there were 42 drug misuse deaths in Dundee City in 2024. This has decreased from 46 deaths reported in 2023.
We aim to reduce this indicator, but there is no set target. Progress on reducing the number of drug deaths is set out and reported on as part of the City Plan 2022/32. Progress reports are available here: Dundee Performs | Dundee City Council.
