We are in the process of producing a robust Evidence Report which will be informed by consultation on a collection of topic papers which cover a range of planning themes set by the Scottish Government. We are taking a phased approach and aim to deliver all topic papers by the end of Summer 2024. The topic papers will form the basis of the Evidence Report and will inform the preparation of the Proposed Local Development Plan.
We invite involvement at all stages of the Plan's preparation and seek to enable those with an interest in the area and ask that any comments or disputes are raised. If agreement cannot be reached on a dispute, this will be referred to a gate check examination by the Scottish Government’s Directorate of Planning and Environmental Appeals (DPEA) to ensure the transparency of the process.
