Call for Sites and Call for Ideas
Consultation open 15 December 2025 until 31 March 2026.
We are inviting input from all stakeholders through two separate surveys to inform the content of the Proposed Local Development Plan:
These consultations provide an opportunity for all stakeholders, including developers, landowners, the public and community organisations, to put forward ideas or sites they would like the Planning Authority to consider for inclusion in the Proposed Local Development Plan.
Call for Sites
Landowners and developers are invited to submit proposed sites for development proposals for inclusion in the Proposed Plan through “Call for Sites”.
The Call for Sites survey can be accessed and responses submitted here.
Call for Ideas
Communities, stakeholders and partners can share their ideas on the content of the Proposed Plan through “Call for Ideas”. This includes highlighting potential land use planning concerns and suggesting policies and ideas. Examples of ideas include:
- Place – Areas to protect or reserve for community use, carrying forward or changing land allocations in the current Dundee Local Development Plan 2019.
- Policy – topics within Scotland's National Planning Framework 4, the current Dundee Local Development Plan 2019 or Dundee City Council’s Evidence Report.
The Call for Ideas survey can be accessed and responses submitted here.
Please note that submission via the online surveys is preferred. However, you can download word versions of the Call for Sites and Call for Ideas surveys and submit these to localdevplan@dundeecity.gov.uk
The deadline for submissions is 31st March 2026.
