Opening Times during a Public Holiday - Monday 15 June 2026

The following arrangements will apply to Council services on Monday 15 June 2026, for the World Cup public holiday.

Waste & Recycling

There will be no waste collections on Monday 15th June. Please see further details for each service on our Waste & Recycling Service changes webpage.

Environment

Public toilets will be open.

Street scene will operate with limited cover from 8am to 2pm covering key street cleaning priorities.

There will be a limited standby resource for rapid response incidents. Please contact 07501 385328.

Civil Emergencies

Out of hours reporting for civil emergencies will remain in place. This is for partner reporting only.

SARC services remain and MSD tenants can contact the team through usual routes either on site, via their handset or by calling 432424.

Community Safety Warden service remains in place, contacted via 436333.

All Democratic and Legal services will be closed on Monday 15th June, 2026 and will re-open on Tuesday 16th June, 2026.

Community Centres

All community centres will be closed on Monday 15th June, 2026 and will open again on Tuesday 16th June, 2026 at 9am.

Emergency Housing Repairs

If you have an emergency housing repair and cannot wait until our office re-opens, please call us on 01382 434343. If it is deemed not to be an emergency you will be asked to call back when the office is open.

Sheltered Housing Service

The Sheltered Service will operate on this Public Holiday, in the same way as the weekend service provision. All sheltered tenants will receive written notification advising them of the additional Public Holiday, along with reassurance that they will remain fully connected to the Sheltered Service throughout this period.

All other Council offices and facilities will be closed on Monday 15th June 2026 and will re-open on Tuesday 16th June 2026.
