"Saving, caring for and sharing Dundee's written heritage"
About the Archives
Dundee City Archives holds the records of Dundee City Council and its predecessors, including:
- Dundee District Council
- the Corporation of Dundee
- Tayside Regional Council
We also hold records relating to churches within the Presbytery of Dundee. Please contact us for further information. We also accept records of businesses, societies and families relating to the City of Dundee as gifts or deposits.
Please note that some of our collections are closed to the general public. This might be because they are too fragile, contain personal information or at the request of the depositor. Please contact us before your visit to ensure that you will be able to view records.
A selection of photographs from our collections can be viewed on our Flickr account
