The Centre also holds records retransmitted from the National Records of Scotland (NRS), such as kirk session minutes in the Presbytery of Dundee.
Records of businesses, societies and families relating to the area of the City of Dundee are accepted as gifts or deposits. They can be consulted in the Archive Search Room if they are in good condition and under any conditions of use set by any depositor.
The Search Room at City Square is open to members of the public, by appointment, Monday to Friday, 9.15 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4.45 pm. Callers should report to City Chambers Reception at 18 City Square. The Search Room may be open to the public on certain local public holidays by prior arrangement. The Search Room is not wheelchair accessible but special arrangements can be made for people with walking difficulties to view items at City Chambers Reception.
