I DISCLOSURE OF CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS - SUBJECT ACCESS FORM

 

There was submitted Report No 269-2000 by the Director of Personnel and Management Services relative to the above.

 

The Committee approved the recommendation of the report that the Council adopts the use of the Tayside Police Subject Access Form to gain information on convictions or pending prosecutions on prospective employees who would have unsupervised contact with children and/or vulnerable adults or in respect of existing employees who moved to posts where there was unsupervised contact with children and/or vulnerable adults.

 

II HOUSING DEPARTMENT - REVIEW OF PROPERTY SHOP

 

Reference was made to the minute of meeting of the Housing Committee of 17th January, 2000 which agreed to continue the Property Shop until the end of the financial year 2001/2002 and remitted the staffing implications to the Personnel and Management Services Committee.

 

The Committee approved the extension of the undernoted temporary posts until 31st March, 2002:-

 

One post of Temporary Property Shop Letting Officer, graded AP4 (17,322 - 19,224).

 

One post of Temporary Assistant Property Shop Letting Officer, graded AP2 (13,650 - 14,811).

 

Two posts of Temporary Part-Time Assistant Property Shop Letting Officer, graded AP2 (13,650 - 14,811).

 

Four posts of Temporary Part-Time Assistant Housing Officer (Property Shop), graded GS3 (11,898 - 12,405).

 

III LEISURE AND PARKS DEPARTMENT - REVIEW OF GRADES

 

There was submitted Report No 174-2000 by the Director of Personnel and Management Services relative to a review of salary grades of Park Supervisors and Parks Officer/Inspectors.

The Committee agreed that the grades of the undernoted posts remain unchanged:-

IV PLANNING AND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT - ENGINEERING SECTION - REVIEW OF TEMPORARY POSTS

 

It was reported that following a review of work of the Engineering Section of the Planning and Transportation Department and due to the extent of the current workload, the Directors of Planning and Transportation and Personnel and Management Services recommended that the undernoted temporary posts be extended until 30th November, 2000:-

 

(i) Two posts of Technician, graded T2/4 (12,951 - 19,224);

 

(ii) One post of Engineering Assistant, graded AP1/4 (12,405 - 19,224).

 

The Committee approved accordingly it being noted that the cost of these recommendations would be 38,635 including employers costs which sum was wholly recoverable through professional fees.

 

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

 

V HOUSING DEPARTMENT - SENIOR MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE

 

There was submitted Report No 276-2000 by the Directors of Housing and Personnel and Management Services relative to the above.

 

The Committee approved the recommendations in the report.

 

VI FINANCE DEPARTMENT - SENIOR MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE

 

There was submitted Report No 272-2000 by the Directors of Finance and Personnel and Management Services relative to the above.

 

The Committee approved the recommendations in the report.
