I REWIRING OF UNITS AT 290-35 CRAIGOWAN ROAD AND 60 CRAIGMOUNT ROAD

 

The Director of Economic Development submitted Report No. 730-2003 seeking approval to rewiring of the above shop units.

 

The Committee approved the rewiring of the units at a cost of 20,000 by negotiated offer with Dundee Contract Services and authorised the City Architectural Services Officer to design and supervise the rewiring.

 

II TENDERS RECEIVED

 

On a reference to Article I of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 12 May 1997 the City Engineer submitted Report No. 713-2003 giving details of offers received to carry out the above works.

 

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer by Dundee Plant Company Limited amounting to 4,760 to which required to be added the undernoted allowances:-

III CLAVERHOUSE INDUSTRIAL PARK (EAST) - PROVISION OF INFRASTRUCTURE

 

The Director of Economic Development and the City Engineer submitted joint Report No. 735-2003 seeking approval for the site servicing of the next phase of the Claverhouse Industrial Park (East). The Committee:-

 

(a) approved the construction of 900 metres of access road and associated drainage to serve the extension of the Claverhouse Industrial Park (East).

 

(b) authorised the City Engineer to negotiate a contract not exceeding 2.6 million under a partnering arrangement with Torith Limited and

 

(c) authorised the Depute Chief Executive (Support Services) in conjunction with the Director of Economic Development to issue an acceptance for this contract.

 

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

There was submitted and approved Report No. 702-2003 by the Director of Economic Development detailing the review of rent in respect of the undernoted premises:-
