I DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL - PERFORMANCE REPORT
There was submitted Report No 488-2006 by the Head of Finance informing Elected Members of the Council's performance for the financial year 2005/2006.
The Committee:-
(a) noted the Council's performance for 2005/2006 and the improved overall performance on the previous year of comparable Statutory Performance Indicators. 63% of these indicators improved when compared to the previous year which was the highest percentage improvement since 1999/2000.
(b) noted in particular the improvements in the Corporate Management category of the Statutory Performance Indicators with significant improvements being obtained in sickness levels, equal opportunities and the council tax collection rate etc.
(c) noted that the report also contained a Corporate Performance Scorecard for the first time with colours being used to represent trends in performance levels and agreed that this technique be developed in the coming year to review performance on a more regular basis which should assist in maintaining or improving existing performance levels.
