I SUPPLY OF SPECIALIST MINI-BUS FOR KINGSPARK SCHOOL

 

There was submitted Report No 642-2010 by the Director of Education relative to the above.

 

The Committee agreed to the purchase of a specialist minibus for Kingspark School, procured via the Scotland Excel vehicle framework from Kerr & Smith, Glasgow for 37,706.

 

II SCHOOL TERMS AND HOLIDAYS 2011/2012 AND 2012/2013

 

There was submitted Report No 627-2010 by the Director of Education seeking approval of the scheme for school terms and holidays relative to the above.

 

The Committee approved the schemes of school terms and holidays for sessions 2011/2012 and 2012/2013.

 

III LEAVERS DESTINATIONS - THE ELMS SECURE UNIT 2007/2010

 

There was submitted Report No 628-2010 by the Director of Education informing the Committee of the destinations of young people who had been detained in the Elms Secure Unit, South Road, Dundee between 2007 and 2010.

 

The Committee noted the report.

 

IV PROVISION OF FUNDING SUPPORT TO FAIRBRIDGE IN DUNDEE

 

There was submitted Report No 631-2010 by the Director of Education seeking approval to award funding to support the work carried out by Fairbridge in Dundee in supporting young people who are excluded or at risk of exclusion from school.

The Committee approved the award of 10,000 to Fairbridge in Dundee.
