The minute of meeting of this Committee of 19th September, 2016 was held as read.

I DECLARATION OF INTEREST

 

There were no declarations of interest.

 

II PLANNING APPLICATIONS

 

(a) 16-00492-FULL - LAND EAST OF FINAVON STREET, DUNDEE - ERECTION OF UP TO 54 RESIDENTIAL UNITS COMPRISING 34 HOUSES AND 22 FLATS, 13 OF WHICH WOULD BE ACCESSIBLE/SUPPORTED LIVING FLATTED UNITS, WITH ASSOCIATED PARKING ACCESS, OPEN SPACE AND DRAINAGE INFRASTRUCTURE - FOR ABERTAY HOUSING ASSOCIATION

 

The Committee acceded to a request for a deputation to address the Committee in support of the above application. After the deputation had stated their case and answered questions from members of the Committee, they were thanked for their attendance and withdrew.

 

Thereafter, having considered objections received, the Committee approved the application, subject to the conditions recommended by the Executive Director of City Development.

 

(b) 16-00544-FULM - LAND TO EAST OF WEST MARKETGAIT, OVERGATE LANE, DUNDEE - VARIATION OF CONDITION 1 OF PLANNING PERMISSION 11โ€‘00124โ€‘FULM TO ALLOW ADDITIONAL TIME FOR DEVELOPMENT TO COMMENCE - FOR OVERGATE NOMINEES LTD

 

Having considered objections received, the Committee approved the application, subject to the conditions recommended by the Executive Director of City Development.

 

 

(c) 16-00611-FULL - 96 VICTORIA ROAD, DUNDEE - DEMOLITION OF AN EXISTING SINGLE STOREY EXTENSION AND ERECTION OF A TWO STOREY EXTENSION - FOR MR STEPHEN FORBES

 

It was reported that a request had been received for a deputation to address the Committee in support of the application.

 

The Committee, having considered objections received, approved the application, subject to the conditions recommended by the Executive Director of City Development, and in the circumstances, declined to hear the deputation.

 

(d) 16-00628-FULL - SITE OF FORMER HOMEBASE STORE, RIVERSIDE DRIVE, DUNDEE - CONSTRUCTION OF TEMPORARY ACCESS TO A CONSTRUCTION SITE AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS - FOR MR STEPHEN FORBES

 

Having considered objections received, the Committee approved the application, subject to the conditions recommended by the Executive Director of City Development.

 

(e) 16-00730-FULL - LAND EAST OF ELIZA STREET, DUNDEE - ERECTION OF 36 FLATS AND 4 SEMI DETACHED HOUSES, FORMATION OF ACCESS, PARKING, LANDSCAPING AND BIN/CYCLE STORAGE - FOR EDENLAW WEST LTD

 

Having considered objections received, the Committee approved the application, subject to the conditions recommended by the Executive Director of City Development.

There was submitted Agenda Note AN87-2016 advising that from 27th June, 2016 to 26th September, 2016, 168 applications were decided under delegated powers. 21 of these applications attracted objections, 15 were approved and 6 applications were refused.
