Thereafter, having heard from the Legal Officer, a representative of the Chief Constable, the applicant on his own behalf, and an agent on behalf of the applicant, the Committee agreed to grant the application for a period of six months subject to the conditions that the applicant submits his medical, SVQ certificate, provides a UTRN and name an operator and further agreed to recall the matter for an update at a future Licensing Committee.

Thereafter, having heard from a representative of the Chief Constable and the Legal Officer, the Committee agreed to defer the application until 19th June, 2025 to allow the applicant to be present.

The Committee noted that the original letter from the Licensing Standards Officer had been submitted. The Committee gave consideration to the content of the letter. The Committee further noted that the original written submission from the licence holder was submitted. The Committee gave consideration to the content of the written submission. The Committee noted a further request had been submitted dated 30th April, 2025. The Committee gave consideration to the request. Thereafter, having heard from the Legal Officer, the Committee decided to defer consideration of the request until 19th June, 2025 to allow the Licensing Standards Officer to gather further information from the licence holder and for the applicant to be present.

Reference was made to Article II(a) of the minute of meeting of this Sub-Committee held on 21st April, 2025, wherein it was agreed that the Taxi Drivers Licence held by M C be suspended with immediate effect and that a suspension hearing be held in due course in relation to the fitness of M C to be the holder of a Taxi Drivers Licence. The Committee noted that a letter of information had been received from the Chief Constable. The Committee gave consideration to the content of the letter. Thereafter, having heard from the Legal Officer, the Chief Constables representative, and the Licensing Manager, the Committee agreed to revoke the licence with immediate effect.

Reference was made to Article II(a) of the minute of meeting of this Sub-Committee held on 21st April, 2025, wherein it was agreed that the Taxi Drivers Licence held by A Q be suspended with immediate effect and that a suspension hearing be held in due course in relation to the fitness of A Q to be the holder of a Taxi Drivers Licence. The Committee noted that a letter of information had been received from the Chief Constable. The Committee gave consideration to the content of the letter. Thereafter, having heard from the Legal Officer and the Chief Constables representative, the Committee noted that no further action was required as the licence had been surrendered.

(d) TAXI DRIVER'S LICENCE - SUSPENSION HEARING MEDICAL

The Committee noted that the Taxi Drivers Licence held by J T had been suspended with immediate effect on 22nd April, 2025 as he did not currently meet Group 2 Standards in accordance with DVLA guidance. Thereafter, having considered the advice of the Legal Officer and noting that the licence holder continued to not meet Group 2 Standards, the Committee agreed to continue the suspension with immediate effect until September, 2025 and bring back for an update.

(e) TAXI DRIVER'S LICENCE REQUEST FOR SUSPENSION HEARING

Thereafter, having heard from the Legal Officer, the Committee agreed that a hearing to consider S Ks fitness to hold a Taxi Drivers Licence be held at the meeting of the Licensing Sub-Committee to be held on 19th June, 2025.

(f) TAXI OPERATOR'S LICENCE REQUEST FOR SUSPENSION HEARING
