Dundee Climate Week 2026

Dundee Climate Week will take place next week with a programme of free events and activities showcasing climate action taking place throughout the city.

A garden celebration event at Campy Growers will kick things off on Saturday 26th September between 11am and 1pm, and Dundee Climate Week will then run until Sunday 4th October.

The awareness week is being co-ordinated by the Sustainable Dundee Network and aims to increase awareness of climate change, inspire sustainable behaviour and show the work by the Council and partners.

Members of the public can get involved through a range of events hosted by local organisations including Abertay University, Campy Growers, Dundee Rep, the Roundhouse, Dundee Chamber of Commerce, Dundee Civic Trust, Dundee Cycle Hub, Dundee Science Centre, and MSIP.

Climate, Net Zero & Environment Convener Cllr Lynne Short said: “Dundee Climate Week is about getting people involved and showing how they can do their bit.

“There are a lot of practical ways people can benefit while also helping the planet.

“By following advice and tips, people can save money by reducing their energy and water use, travel cheaper, and make shopping decisions that are better for the environment.

“I would encourage everyone to take a look at the programme and consider getting involved in the events and activities on offer.”

Depute Convener Cllr Lee Mills added: “A great deal of climate action is happening, some of which is right on our doorsteps, often in ways that might not be immediately obvious.

“Climate Week helps to showcase this work and show how everyone can play their part in supporting the city’s goals.

Dundee Climate Week forms part of the city's wider commitment to tackling climate change and achieving its net zero ambitions.

As part of the programme, a series of videos will be shared highlighting climate action being delivered through Council services. These reels will focus on biodiversity and greenspace projects, sustainable drainage and flood management, active travel and public infrastructure, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, Urban ReLeaf, and neighbourhood regeneration & climate resilience projects.
