This is an update on the 2005 “Streets Ahead” document, providing updated guidance for developers seeking planning approval and roads construction consent, as well as anyone involved in street design. The new document reflects current best practice in street design and placemaking and aligns with the council’s wider ambitions around climate action and sustainable development, while ensuring consistency with national policies and guidance.
