  • Constable Street (westbound St Roques Lane to Dens Street) and St Roques Lane

    closed for 11 weeks for facilitating development works.

  • Finavon Street (Fintry Road to Fintry Drive) and Fintry Road (Fintry Drive for 35m south)

    Finavon Street will be closed in several sections, one section at a time, for 2 weeks for facilitating works for a new housing development.

  • Dens Street (Constable Street to Princes Street)

    closed for 28 weeks for hotel development works.

  • Earl Grey Place West

    closed for 49 weeks for site development works.

  • Riverside Drive at Dundee Rail Station

    eastbound nearside lane closure for 2 weeks for footway works.

  • Old Glamis Road (Fairmuir Road to Clepington Road)

    closed southbound for 3 weeks for water main works.

  • A90 Kingsway West (Myrekirk Road to Buttars Road)

    overnight (7.30pm - 6.30am) lane closures in both directions until Friday 2 March for lighting works.

  • Johnston Avenue (Clepington Road to Strathmore Avenue)

    closed for one week for footway and tree works.

    closed from Monday 19 February for up to 10 days for footway and tree works.

    closed on Wednesday 21 February for Scottish Water ironwork repair.

    temporary traffic lights from Monday 19 February for 2 weeks for water mains renewal.

    temporary traffic lights from Monday 19 February for one week for gas service connection.

  • Riverside Drive (at Botanic Gardens)

    off‑peak (9.30am - 3.30pm) temporary traffic lights for one week for street lighting duct installation works.

    closed on Tuesday 13 March for Scottish Water repair works.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
