    temporary traffic lights on Sunday 19 November for 2 days for Scottish Water mains repair.

  • Albert Street (Victoria Street to Lyon Street)

    closed north bound on Sunday 19 November for BT cable repair

Week Commencing Monday 20 November 2017

  • Constable Street (westbound St Roques Lane to Dens Street) and St Roques Lane

    closed for 24 weeks for facilitating development works.

  • Finavon Street (Fintry Road to Fintry Drive) and Fintry Road (Fintry Drive for 35m south)

    Finavon Street will be closed in several sections, one section at a time, for 3 weeks for facilitating works for a new housing development.

  • A85 Riverside Drive

    prohibition of right turn from westbound lane of Riverside Drive into Riverside approach and prohibition of right turn from Riverside Approach in to Riverside Drive for 3 weeks for works to the sea wall. Prohibitions will only be in place when required.

  • Dens Street (Constable Street to Princes Street)

    closed for 40 weeks for hotel development works.

  • A923 Coupar Angus Road (Quarryside to Dunsinane Avenue)

    closed northbound for 5 weeks for gas main renewal.

  • A95 Riverside Drive (at Railway Station)

    eastbound nearside lane closure for 3 weeks for SGN essential valve maintenance

  • Fulton Road

    temporary traffic lightsuntil midweek for Hydro Electric service connection.

  • Pitalpin Street

    closed for 3 weeks for building works.

  • Abertay Street

    temporary traffic lightsfor 3 weeks for gas main renewal.

  • Constitution Street

    closed in 2 phases for 4 weeks for Scottish Water mains renewal. Phase 1 Constitution Road to Dons Road. Phase 2 Dons Road to Hilltown.

  • Christmas Street Festival

    closures as follows: Commercial Street, Cowgate/Panmure Street, Murraygate, Reform Street, High Street, Meadowside, Chapel Street, Castle Street, Exchange Street, Shore Terrace, Dock Street, Thomson Avenue, Earl Grey Place East, Earl Grey Place West, South Crichton Street and South Castle Street. Order takes effect from Friday 24 November.

  • A90 Kingsway (at Coupar Angus Interchange)

    overnight (7.30pm - 6.30am) northbound nearside lane closure on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 November for inspections.

  • A90 Forfar Road (at Fintry)

    overnight (7.30pm - 6.30am) northbound nearside lane closure on Monday 20 November for carriageway patching.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
