    closed for 2 weeks for hotel development works.

    closed for 8 months for development works.

  • Pitkerro Road (Madeira Street to Dalkeith Road)

    temporary traffic lights and rolling side street closure for 2 weeks for water mains renewal.

  • Eliza Street

    one way traffic order on Mollison Street and Eliza Street for 3 weeks for building works.

  • Summerfield Avenue

    west leg closed between Strathaven Terrace and Summerfield Avenue north leg for a distance of approximately 200m for 2 weeks for road drainage and utility service connections.

  • A90 Kingsway (Old Glamis Road to Forfar Road)

    overnight (7.30pm to 6.30am) lane closures for one week for third party works.

    temporary traffic lights for one week for water main connection.

    closed overnight (10.00pm – 6.00am) from Tuesday 23 October to Thursday 25 October for level crossing maintenance works.

  • A90 Kingsway West (at Kings Cross interchange)

    overnight (7.30pm - 6.30am) northbound nearside lane closure on Thursday 25 October for gully ironwork repairs.

  • Gray Street (Queen Street to Brook Street)

    closed from Friday 26 October for 5 working days for Hydro Electric cable laying (road opened Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 October) for SSE Telecoms works.

  • Myrekirk Road (A90 Kingsway to Dunholm Road)

    closed southbound on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 October for SSE telecoms works.


  • Dura Street (Brown Constable Street to Erskine Street)

    closed from Monday 29 October for 5 working days for carriageway resurfacing works.

    rolling programme of temporary traffic lights from Monday 5 November for 2 weeks for Openreach cabling works.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
