    overnight (7.30pm – 6.30am) westbound lane closure from Sunday 25 October for 5 nights for street lighting works.

  • A92 Arbroath Road (Ethiebeaton roundabout and westwards)

    overnight (8.00pm – 6.00am) westbound lane closure from Sunday 25 October for traffic sign repairs.

  • South Castle Street (Riverside Esplanade to Blackwatch Parade)

    closed for 6 months for urban beach development works.

  • Douglas Terrace from Dundee Road to Home Street (Section 1), Douglas Terrace from Home Street to Westfield Road (Section 2), James Place from Westfield Road to Church Street (Section 3), Fisher Street from Church Street to Fort Street (Section 4) and Fisher Street from Fort Street to Ambrose Street (Section 5)

    closed in phases as described for 14 months for Flood Prevention Works.  No more than 2 sections may be closed at the same time.

  • South Ward Road (North Lindsay Street to Argyllgait)

    closed for 14 weeks for building refurbishment works.

  • Charleston Area

    rolling road closure programme for 7 weeks for City Fibre Cable Installation work.  Streets affected are:  Brownhill Place, Brownhill Street, Buttars Terrace, Craigmount Road (2 sections) and Ravenscraig Road.

  • Dryburgh Area

    rolling road closure programme for 6 weeks for City Fibre Installation work.  Streets affected are:  Dryburgh Place, Ettrick Crescent, Langshaw Road and Munro Place.

  • Glens Area

    rolling road closure programme for 2 weeks for City Fibre Installation work.  Streets affected are:  Glenmarkie Terrace, Glenmoy Avenue, Glenogil Avenue and Glenprosen Terrace.

    closed for one week for SGN work.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.

Please note the information provided is current as of the Friday prior to the report date and is subject to change at any time.  Any updates after publication on Fridays are indicated in bold.
