    closed for 2 weeks for facilitating development works.

    closed for 7 weeks for hotel development works.

    closed eastbound for one week from Fairmuir Street to Old Glamis Road for Scottish Water mains renewal.

    closed for 2 weeks for facilitating sewer works to new housing.

    temporary traffic lights on Sunday 29 July for Scottish Water manhole repair.

  • Arbroath Road (at Albert Street)

    temporary traffic lights on Sunday 29 and Monday 30 July for sewer repair works.

  • Riverside Drive (at Riverside Approach)

    temporary traffic lights from Monday 30 July for 5 weeks for gas main renewal.  Riverside Approach closed southbound and prohibition of right turn from Barnetts Garage will be in force for periods of the 5 weeks.

  • Camphill Road (Whinnybrae for 60m eastwards)

    – closed from Thursday 2 August for two days for water connection works.

  • Baldovan Road (Pitcairn Road for 50m northwards)

    closed from Monday 6 August for 4 weeks for retaining wall reconstruction works.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
