- We do not accept plasterboard at our Household Waste Recycling Centres
- Resdients should not place plasterboard in household waste bins, recycling bins or mixed construction waste skips
- Plasterboard contains gypsum and requires specialist disposal. If disposed of incorrectly or mixed with biodegradable waste, it can produce harmful gases (hydrogen sulphide) and pose environmental risks.
- Please contact a licensed waste management company that accepts plasterboard for disposal or recycling.
- If building, renovation or repair work is being carried out by a builder or contractor, they should arrange the safe and legal disposal of any plasterboard waste generated as part of the work.
