Percentage of children living in poverty after housing costs (relative poverty)

Figures published by End Child Poverty in July 2022 show that in 2020/21 it was estimated that  22.5% of children in Dundee City are living in poverty (after housing costs), this is a 4.2% decrease from the previous year. Dundee is ranked third in its family group, this is the highest the city has been since the indicator has been recorded. The family group average is 22.78%, the Scottish average is 20.86%. Projections suggest that the impact of the pandemic has the potential to exacerbate and entrench child poverty further.
