Trading Standard Officers carry out a wide range of inspections of trade premises, where they inspect equipment, make test purchases and examine goods. Dundee City Council has facilities for the calibration of trade weights and measures. The Trading Standards Section of the City Development Department can verify weighing equipment and liquid fuel measuring instruments.
Calibrated metric weights are also available for hire.
