Cycle Parking and Storage

Cycle Parking stands are located conveniently outside shops, cafes, services etc., generally for short-stay parking. We have hundreds of these located all over the city and are adding more each year. If you know of a location where some cycle parking would be useful, please get in touch.

Cycle shelters such as the ones at the bus station, train station and some district centres, are for areas of higher demand and where people may be leaving their bikes for longer periods of time.

Bikehangars provide long-stay cycle storage and are secure and lockable. These are for residents living in flats who do not have space to securely store a bike inside, or who are unable to take their bike upstairs. Dundee City Council is working with Hooplr to provide this storage, and have installed 53 of their Bikehangar units all over Dundee in areas with a high number of flats. 

They have a rack inside with 6 spaces for people to lock their cycles to, with each space available to rent for £11/year, plus a £25 refundable key deposit.

Secure cycle stores are located at some blocks of flats or workplaces and are for the exclusive use, free of charge, for residents or employees. These stores are usually funded privately by businesses or landlords; however, if you are interested in obtaining secure cycle storage for your flat or workplace, please get in touch - we may be able to help.
