Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Scheme – Closure Notice
Please note that the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme is now closed to new applicants.
The scheme previously aimed to reduce fuel poverty by improving energy efficiency in private sector housing occupied by low-income and vulnerable households, including through the ECO Flexibility mechanism. While the Council continues to support initiatives addressing fuel poverty and energy efficiency, no new applications to this ECO scheme are being accepted.
Applicants are encouraged to refer to the latest available programmes, including those outlined in the current Statement of Intent (published 12 June 2025), for alternative support options.
