Protecting People (PP) is the term used in Dundee to describe the work undertaken to protect children, young people and adults from abuse, neglect and harm.

- Community Justice Partnership (CJP) – A Community Justice Partnership is a statutory, multi-agency group mandated by the Community Justice (Scotland) Act 2016 to reduce reoffending through local collaboration. These partnerships, operating at the local authority level, involve agencies such as councils, health boards and police working together to support rehabilitation, manage offenders, and improve public safety. They are responsible for producing a local Community Justice Outcome and Improvement Plan (CJOIP).
Protecting People is a shared responsibility and strengthens the partnerships which have already been forged between Dundee City Council, Police Scotland, NHS Tayside, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, the Third Sector and the Independent Sector.
