Charleston Community Centre content The community centres at Menzieshill, Charleston, Ardler, Kirkton, Hilltown, Finmill and Douglas will re-open on Mon 14 September. They have all been prepared for a safe reopening in line with the Scottish Government’s route map out of lockdown and the Council’s recovery plans. The reopening has been carefully planned with a range of measures in place to keep staff and service users safe and prevent the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19). Centre opening hours will 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Centre programmes have been amended and attendance at these programmes must be pre-booked by telephone or email. This is a bright, newly-decorated spacious hall that is suitable for a variety of purposes. It can be booked for birthday parties, conferences etc. It has excellent kitchen facilities with a serving hatch. Saffron Room 4.5m x 7m. This is a bright, spacious, multi-purpose room that is suitable for various activities, e.g. arts and crafts, creche groups, meetings. It has facilities for preparation of light refreshments. Heather Room 4m x 4m. This is a quiet, relaxing room used for various purposes. Computer Suite 4.5m x 7m. This is an Adult Learning / It Suite for various Adult Learning sessions. Must be booked in advance! Local Management Group The Management Group is a recognised Charity and consists of local people who meet on the last Wednesday of each month, working in conjunction with Dundee City Council's Communities and Policy Department.
