Information for Candidates

Security information for potential candidates

The UK government has issued a joint video regarding the safety and security of candidates for the forthcoming elections. You can view this below. It lighlights where you can access relevant security advice and guidance that may be helpful to you during an election and beyond.

At the end of the video, you will be able to click on the QR code to take you to more detailed advice and guidance from relevant websites such as Protect UK, the National Security Authority (NPSA), and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). The website can also be found here :  Security guidance for elections – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).

We know candidates and their teams are concerned about cyber issues. You can register your person details with the NCSC so they can easily notify you if they become aware of any suspicious associated with your personal accounts. The NCSC can offer you and extra layer of protection for your personal devices to protect you from clikcing on malicious links. To sign up for these services please contact candidates2024@ncsc.gov.uk
