Development Management

The Council's Development Management service decides applications for planning permission, listed building consent, conservation area consent, advertisement consent and works to protected trees. It gives pre application advice on development proposals (by email).  It can take action where development is carried out without or not in accordance with permission.

It holds public information on applications which have been submitted, facilitates commenting on applications and provides general information on development management matters.

You can view valid planning applications and associated documents, including a Planning decision online.

Communication

All Planning staff are partly working remotely but are able to process planning applications as normal. Should you require a meeting with an officer please arrange this by email or phone prior to visiting the offices at Dundee House.

If you have a current planning application please contact the case officer by email whenever possible.

General enquiries for building standard (building warrants) matters can be directed to bs@dundeecity.gov.uk

Planning enforcement enquiries should be directed to planningenforcement@dundeecity.gov.uk

All officers can make calls, host and join conference calls and use other various virtual communication methods such as Microsoft Teams calls.
