Dundee City Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from council services and project teams seeking to access the Scottish Government's Regeneration Capital Grant Fund (RCGF) 2027/28 programme. The fund supports place-based community-led regeneration projects that deliver lasting economic, social and physical improvements in disadvantaged communities and help achieve long-term regeneration goals.
About the Fund
The Regeneration Capital Grant Fund supports place-based regeneration projects that can deliver transformational change within communities. Projects should contribute to a shared vision for a place and help improve outcomes for local people through investment in buildings, land and infrastructure.
Projects should:
- Provide new infrastructure or enhance existing infrastructure to deliver transformational change with strong regeneration outcomes Involve local communities, helping to tackle disadvantage and deliver improved physical, social and economic outcomes for communities and local people
- Encourage additional investment and to address the need for public sector investment through positive reuse of persistent vacant and derelict land and buildings.
- Demonstrate the ways in which they will contribute towards tackling climate change and the target of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2045.
- Align with the Community Wealth Building principles following the introduction of the Community Wealth Building (Scotland) Act 2026, including alignment to shared long-term vision for place.
How to apply
Organisations wishing to put forward a project must first complete the online Expression of Interest (EOI) form and submit it to the External Funding Team by Monday 20 July 2026. The EOI process will be used to assess projects' suitability for the fund and determine which proposals will be taken forward to the next stage.
Projects invited to progress will then be required to submit a full Stage 1 application to externalfunding@dundeecity.gov.uk by 12 noon on Monday 3 August 2026.
Following feedback and review, final applications must be returned by 12 noon on Wednesday 13 August 2026 to allow final checks before submission to the Scottish Government.
