The by-election for the Arbroath and Broughty Ferry constituency will be held on Thursday 18th June 2026.
The Chief Executive of Angus Council is the Returning Officer for the Arbroath and Broughty Ferry Constituency.
The deadline to register to vote in this by-election is Monday 1st June 2026. To register for a postal vote you must do so by 2nd June 2026, and the deadline for a proxy vote is 5pm Tuesday 9th June 2026.
Polling takes place between 7.00 am and 10.00 pm.
Voting is by way of the first past the post system ie the candidate with the most votes is elected.
To vote you simply place a cross (X) against the candidate of your choice.
