In celebration of World Sewing Machine Day on 13th June.
The not so simple answer to who invented the Sewing Machine.

The earliest penitent was file in 1755, ninety-six years before Singer produced his first sewing machine, yet he has become synonymous with the invention!

Come and find out what happened in the development of working sewing machine during those ninety-six years and how Singe s name became the most recognised. Exhibition in Central Library during June.
