What's On - Christmas at McManus

Get ready for Christmas and join us for a special day of festive fun at our free Christmas Market event on Saturday 6th December.

Find the perfect gift at the museum's pop-up festive market, showcasing some of the wonderful independent makers, businesses, and suppliers from the local area. Well also have festive-themed family-friendly crafts, activities, and storytelling throughout the day, with the McManus Caf serving up delicious food and hot drinks.

Here's what to expect:

• Christmas Market
  Located in The Victoria Gallery on the museums first floor, the Christmas Market will run from 10am 4pm. Its a lovely opportunity to meet some fantastic local suppliers and stock up for Christmas!



• Christmas Tales for Families
  Enjoy interactive Christmas stories in the museums Family Space with local storyteller Robbie Fotheringham. Sessions are 1.30-2pm and 2.30-3pm.



• Festive Crafts
  Pop into the Learning Studio for some family fun and create festive-themed crafts with the museums Creative Learning Team between 12.30pm and 3.30pm.



• McManus Cafe
  The McManus Caf will be on hand to keep you fuelled throughout the day whether you're after a warming hot drink, a tasty lunch, or a delicious slice of cake, it's the perfect spot to take a break and soak up the festive atmosphere.

Plus lots of festive cheer throughout the day!

So join us on Saturday 6th December, bring the family, and experience all the festive magic of the museum - including our spectacular 16-foot Christmas tree in the Gothic Hall, perfect for a seasonal photo!
