Chris and Julie Ramsey of Plug In Adventure made history in 2017 when they became the first team to complete the gruelling Mongol Rally in an all electric car, driving a 2016 30kWh Nissan LEAF, with a range of approx. 90miles, from Goodwood Racing circuit to Ulan Ude in Siberia.

Over 10,000 miles and crossing 13 countries they demonstrated that even without public charging infrastructure, you can still drive long distances in an electric car, even in the most testing environments. Where there were no public EV Charging available, they would charge from regular 220v socket in all manner of locations ranging from cafes, restaurants, petrol station and even from an electricity pylon deep in the Siberian forest. They would receive so much kindness from complete strangers helping them out along the way. A husband and wife team, their story is one of teamwork, endurance and adaptability all while raising money for charity and raising awareness of the true capabilities of electric vehicles.

On Saturday October 25 at 13:00 come and hear all about their adventure and share stories from the road, what they learned from their 10,000 mile drive, and the people who helped them make history.
Talk included in museum admission.
