What's On - The Living Body - A Six-Week Somatic Movement Series
The Living Body - A Six-Week Somatic Movement Series
Many of us carry chronic muscular tension and restricted movement that we've simply come to accept as normal. Clinical Somatic Education takes a different view: much of this tension is a learned pattern held by the nervous system, known as Sensory Motor Amnesia, rather than a fixed structural problem. Through slow, gentle, guided movement - a technique called pandiculation -participants learn to release these long-held patterns.
This work may help with chronic pain and long-held tension, anxiety and everyday stress, restricted mobility and stiffness, poor posture, sleep and restlessness, and recovery or moving well as you age. This is movement education, not medical treatment; anyone with a specific health condition should check with their GP before attending.
Over six weekly sessions, attendees are guided step by step through the full technique, building each week toward a personal take-home practice. No prior experience is required. New to somatic movement? A single Week 1 taster session is available for £40 before committing to the full series.
