What's On - The Vaults: Echoes of the past

Step off the busy streets and head underground into Dundee’s hidden vaults – a part of the city most people walk past every day without even knowing it’s there.

These old spaces have been built over, forgotten about, and left in the dark...until now. We’ll take you down below, tell you why they’re still here, and share some of the grim and curious stories tied to this corner of the city’s past.

You won’t get into the Vaults with anyone else – just us, Louise and Stewart, dragging up Dundee’s history one tale at a time.

Think you know Dundee? Wait till you’ve seen what’s lurking underneath.

Meeting point: Shore Terrace, near the Wine Press, pease arrive 5 minutes before start time to allow time to check-in. This experience lasts for approximately 1 hour.

Comfortable clothing and sensible shoes as we’ll be going downstairs into a basement, which is old and dusty with plenty of cobwebs. Bring your reading glasses with you as there are displays to see and read.

** The Vaults are not suitable for children under 10 years as hard hats must be worn, and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
