McGonagall Night with the International Ghost Society

McGonagall Night is a celebration of the famous (or, perhaps, infamous) Scottish poet and tragedian William “Topaz” McGonagall – a man sometimes known as the worst poet in history. McGonagall is famous for composing laughably awkward and unrhythmic poems, and for performing them to audiences who were as interested in pelting him with rotten fruit and vegetables as they were in listening to his attempts at verse. In this one-hour, interactive show we’ll hear some of McGonagall’s finest works, and learn about his life through the distinguished medium of short video games.

The International Ghost Society is a creative studio based in Edinburgh. They make fun things happen there and elsewhere, including a series of historical cookery classes, a robot vacuum fight club, and a hallucinatory talk on the history and science of the Ganzfeld Effect.
